About us

Hal Shubin is the principal and founder of Interaction Design, Inc. He is an experienced UI designer for Web sites, Web applications, desktop software and hardware devices.

Hal started designing desktop software in the 80s and started working on Web sites and Web applications shortly after the advent of the Web. He started with one of the first order-form interfaces for eCommerce and an early HTML editor. Hal also specializes in usability testing and expert product reviews as ways to verify existing designs.

Before becoming a designer, Hal was a software engineer. This background gives him a unique ability to understand what is behind the designs and to talk with engineers on a design project.

Project teams

Each project has special requirements and requires a different combination of partners for writing, visual design (aka graphic design), HTML coding, software engineering and industrial design. Choosing team members is an important part of each project.
