Hal Shubin Hal Shubin is the principal and founder of Interaction Design, Inc. He is an experienced UI designer for Web sites, Web applications, desktop software and hardware devices.

Hal has developed a well-tested user interface design process. He started designing desktop software in the 1980s and began working on Web sites and Web applications shortly after the advent of the Web. He helped design and test one of the first order-form interfaces for eCommerce and an early HTML editor, along with many more recent projects.

Hal also specializes in customer research, including customer visits and usability testing.

Before becoming a designer, Hal was a software engineer. This background gives him a unique ability to understand what is behind the designs and to talk with engineers on a design project.

Project teams

Each project has special requirements and requires a different combination of partners for writing, visual design (aka graphic design), HTML coding, software engineering and industrial design. Choosing team members is an important part of each project.
