Bouncer

Stop sending emails to addresses that don’t exist. Connect Bouncer to Positive User and verify your contact lists and segments directly from the Bouncer panel. Invalid, risky, disposable, and toxic email addresses are identified before you hit send. With AutoClean, the entire process runs on autopilot: new contacts are verified hourly, existing contacts are re-checked on a schedule, and your database stays clean without manual work.

Clean Email Lists, Better Deliverability

Verify Lists and Segments Before Every Campaign

Bouncer connects to your Positive User account and pulls in your lists and segments. Select any list, run a verification, and Bouncer checks every email address against its validation engine. Each address is classified as Deliverable, Risky (accept-all, full mailbox, disposable), Undeliverable (invalid or non-existent), or Unknown. You see exactly which contacts are safe to email and which should be removed.

Automate List Cleaning With AutoClean

Manual verification works, but AutoClean makes it effortless. Set up an AutoClean job in Bouncer for any Positive User list: verify the full list on setup, auto-verify new contacts every hour, and re-verify existing contacts on a recurring schedule (every X days). Define export rules to automatically mark addresses as Keep, Suppress, or Quarantine based on the verification results. Your list hygiene runs in the background.

Trigger Positive User Automations From Verification Results

Bouncer writes a "bouncer_recommends" field on each contact in Positive User. Use this field to build automations: if status is "suppress," remove the contact from the sending segment. If status is "quarantine," tag them for manual review. Your Positive User workflows react to verification results the same way they react to any other contact attribute change.

Get ready fast

Three simple steps to get started

1

Generate Your Positive User API Key

In your Positive User app, go to Settings > API Keys and generate a new API key. Copy the key and note your app subdomain.

2

Connect in Bouncer

In your Bouncer account, go to Integrations > User.com. Enter your Positive User API key and subdomain. Click "Save API Key." Bouncer will pull in your lists and segments.

3

Verify or Set Up AutoClean

To verify manually: go to Verify List, select a list from your Positive User integration, and run the verification. To automate: set up an AutoClean job with your preferred schedule and export rules (Keep, Suppress, Quarantine). Bouncer handles the rest.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need coding skills to set this up?
No. You generate an API key in Positive User, paste it into Bouncer’s integration settings, and your lists appear. No code, no webhooks, no developer required.

What is AutoClean and how does it work?
AutoClean is Bouncer’s automated list hygiene feature. You set it up once per list and it runs continuously. It verifies the entire list on setup, auto-verifies new contacts every hour, and re-verifies existing contacts every X days. Addresses are marked as Keep (safe), Suppress (remove), or Quarantine (review).

How do I use verification results in automations?
Bouncer writes a "bouncer_recommends" custom property on each verified contact. Build automations that trigger on this field: "If bouncer_recommends is suppress, remove from segment" or "If bouncer_recommends is quarantine, apply a tag for manual review."

What is Bouncer?
Bouncer is a Polish email verification platform (based in Wroclaw) that helps businesses validate email addresses before sending campaigns. It offers list verification, real-time API verification, toxicity checks, data enrichment, deliverability testing, and AutoClean for automated list hygiene.

Is the data GDPR-compliant?
Both Bouncer and Positive User are European platforms with GDPR compliance built in. Bouncer hosts data in the EU, provides GDPR documentation, and does not store email content. Only email addresses are processed for verification. Make sure your data processing agreements cover email verification as a legitimate use of contact data.
