Copy Your Script
In your Positive User app, go to Settings > Setup & Integrations > Basic Integration. Copy the widget script containing your API key and app domain.
Add to Weebly
In your Weebly dashboard, go to Settings > SEO > Footer Code. Paste the script into the footer code field. Click Save, then Publish your site to apply the changes.
Verify Tracking
Visit any page on your Weebly site, then check Data > People in Positive User. A new anonymous visitor record should appear within seconds. You can also open your browser console and type civchat to confirm the apiKey and userKey values are returned.

Does the script load on all pages automatically?
Yes. Weebly's footer code applies site-wide. Every page, blog post, and product listing on your site is covered by a single paste.
I saved the script but nothing happens. What's wrong?
Weebly requires you to both Save and Publish for changes to take effect on your live site. After pasting the script and clicking Save, make sure you also click Publish to push the update to your published site.
Will the script slow down my Weebly site?
No. The script loads asynchronously in the footer and does not block page rendering. It has no measurable impact on your site's loading speed.
Does this work with Weebly's online store features?
Yes. The tracking script covers your product pages, category pages, and cart. However, Weebly handles checkout internally, and the script may not fire during the payment process. To capture purchase data, use Zapier to sync order information into Positive User after a sale completes.
How do I identify visitors on my Weebly site?
All visitors start as anonymous profiles. They become identified contacts when they interact with the Positive User chat widget, submit a popup form, or click a tracked email link. You can also connect Weebly form submissions to Positive User through Zapier.
Can I hide the chat widget and use only tracking?
Yes. In your Positive User app, go to Settings > Chat Widget Settings > Widget Visibility, and set the widget state to "Hidden." Tracking continues in the background without the chat appearing on your site.
What happens if I change my Weebly theme?
The footer code setting is independent of your theme. Switching themes does not remove the Positive User script. Your tracking continues without interruption.
Weebly is now part of Square. Does this integration still work?
Yes. As long as your site runs on the Weebly platform and you have access to the Weebly dashboard with the Settings > SEO > Footer Code option, the integration works as described. If you migrate to Square Online in the future, you will need to re-add the script using Square Online's code injection method.
Is the data GDPR-compliant?
Positive User provides tools for consent management, data access requests, and deletion. Combine them with a cookie consent banner on your Weebly site to build a compliant setup for your visitors.
