A contact has been using the product steadily. The system keeps updating their usage counter in the background. The moment that counter hits exactly 1000, the automation fires. The system checks which channels are available: email consent, web push subscription, mobile device registered. For each available channel, a celebration goes out. On web push, an animated badge appears. On mobile, a congratulations notification arrives. In their inbox, an email waits: it recaps their journey, highlights what 1000 actions means, and offers a share link so they can post the achievement publicly. The contact feels seen. They are more likely to keep using the product, more likely to talk about it, and more likely to come back. The automation then goes quiet, because there is nothing left to trigger. Usage tracking and milestone detection: The system continuously updates the Product usage count attribute. When a contact reaches the defined milestone number, for example exactly 1000 or more usages, the automation is triggered.

Channel availability check: The automation checks whether the contact can be reached through at least one of three channels: Consent email is TRUE, Web push subscription is TRUE, or FCM key has any value. If none are available, no messages are sent.

First-time trigger protection: This automation is designed to trigger only for contacts crossing the milestone for the first time. To prevent retroactive celebrations for existing high-usage contacts, teams must first disable the trigger, run the automation once with an empty audience, and then re-enable it. This ensures only newly qualifying contacts receive the celebration.
